Entrepreneur Challenge

This is a business competition where entrepreneurs have the opportunity to win a $5000 prize for the winning entry. The competition opens July 16, 2018 at 12:00 a.m. MDT and closes 11:59 p.m. MDT August 24, 2018.

To participate, the business must have a minimum one year of operation, must be either a past or current Suazo Business Center client. A current client must have attended two business advising appointments or taken one class from one of the programs offered at the Center (Start Up or Growth). The participant also has to be working on a business plan or developing a business idea or have started a business.

Twelve (12) finalists will be selected to go on to the second round of the competition. They will present their pitch to a panel of judges. The panel of judges include Ned C. Hill, who was dean of the Marriott School of Management at BYU from 1998 to 2008; Robert Heyn, CEO of the Academy for Creating Enterprises; and, Scott Petersen, Executive Director of the Marriott School of Business Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology. One winner will be selected and will receive a $5000 check.
The award recipient will be announced at the “Suazo Business Center 15 Year Award Gala” in September 2018.
